Why an Ayurvedic Cleanse?
Seasonal Cleansing with Ayurveda brings deep nourishment for body, mind, and cellular vitality.
At Ayurveda with Claudia, seasonal cleansing is more than a reset—it’s a gentle invitation to realign with nature, restore balance, and nourish your body from the inside out.
Rooted in Ayurvedic wisdom and inspired by the science behind ‘Scheinfasten‘, each cleanse is carefully designed to be light yet deeply nourishing. By offering 3 structured meals per day and incorporating simple mono-meals, warm teas, and calming routines, we create a safe space where the digestive system can rest, the nervous system can soften, and the body can begin to gently rejuvenate on a cellular level.
Modern research has shown that periodic, calorie-conscious fasting—like in Scheinfasten—may help:
✓ Support healthy metabolism and balanced blood sugar
✓ Reduce low-grade inflammation
✓ Trigger cellular renewal processes (autophagy)
✓ Support gut health and microbiome diversity
✓ Promote long-term vitality without extreme restriction
In Ayurveda, we understand these same benefits through the lens of agni (digestive fire), ama (toxins), and ojas (vitality). When agni is strong, and ama is cleared, our body naturally moves toward balance and self-healing.
🌱 Spring Cleanse – Lighten, energize, and refresh
🍂 Fall Cleanse – Ground, calm, and rebuild inner strength
Each cleanse provides:
✓ Seasonal Ayurvedic meal plans
✓ Warm, plant-based recipes to soothe digestion and restore balance
✓ Gentle daily routines and self-care practices
✓ A rhythm that encourages deep rest and inner clarity
Whether you’re emerging from winter or winding down from summer, each cleanse is designed to guide your body back to balance—naturally, mindfully, and seasonally.
I invite you to join my next Autumn/Spring Cleanse 23 – 29 March 2026 (This cleanse is easily adaptable, if you’re in either the northern- or southern hemisphere). Gently cleanse your body and boost your energy levels… all with my support… and a beautiful international community to hold you.
You’ll be given the opportunity to examine and re-assess your relationship with food – and with yourself.
You will also be invited you to establish (or re-establish) daily Ayurvedic self-care routines, which are subtle, but so, so powerful.
Doing the cleanse as a group makes it more powerful. The community allows sharing, witnessing, accountability and makes it so much more fun and easy.
There will be a daily meditation/movement practice, co-facilitated by invited guest practitioners.

Q: Can I participate if I can’t make the live community zoom calls?
A: Yes you can, as every call will be recorded and available for you to listen to at your convenience.
Q: The exact dates don’t work for my schedule. Can I do it another week?
A: Yes you can! When you sign up, I will e-mail you everything you need – and you can complete the cleanse at any time. You will still be part of the e-mail and WhatsApp group, so will get an idea of what others are experiencing. However it is so much better to do it with the group and on the exact dates!
Q: When do we start preparing the food?
A: The fresher the food, the better according to Ayurveda… so ideally, you’ll prepare your meals within 24 hours of consumption.
Q: Will I need to alter my schedule in any way to accommodate the cleanse?
A: You can go to work and lead a normal life. However, I do encourage participants to keep their social diary as free as possible. This is an inward time, and the less appointments and obligations you have, the better. Emotionally, we want to feel spacious and invite in as much rest and downtime as possible. A cleanse calls more for contemplation than for socializing.
Q: Can I exercise while cleansing?
A: Yes you can. The focus here is to tune in with what you need. Exercise during the cleanse might call for more gentleness, stretching… more ‘breathing out’ than ‘breathing in and strengthening’. More walks in nature, more contemplation and tuning in.
Q: So many online cleanses I have seen are much more expensive than yours? Why is this program so much less?
A: I’m a believer that cleansing holds immense power to fuel transformation. I am on a mission for as many people as possible to experience the profound effects of cleansing, so I intentionally keep the price of the program low. I would rather that people spend their money on quality ingredients for the week than paying a high fee to join. In that spirit, I do not require participants to purchase pricey regimens of supplements or herbs as part of this cleanse. A couple of basic supplements are suggested, but optional.
Q: Can I take medications/herbs/supplements on the cleanse?
A: Yes – you can keep up your normal routines during the cleanse. If you have any questions, please seek advice from your healthcare practitioner.
Q: What if I can’t make the dates, can I still do the cleanse?
A: Yes – you can be part and just do the cleanse after the group cleanse on your own with all the material or you can opt for an individual cleanse which includes:

A cleanse is about so much more than just food. It is giving the body a physical rest – and at the same time it is about diving into yourself, your history, your patterns and your lineage.
Asking questions like: “Am I hungry?”; “What am I hungry for… both in terms of food and in terms of Life?”
“What kind of food patterns did I grow up with… in my family and also culturally?”; “What were – and are – my stories around food, eating and body image?”; “Was I surrounded by an overeating father and a dieting mother?”; “Was food sacred in my family?”; “Was it wholesome and prepared with love?“
All of this is connected, and we just keep repeating and reliving it if we don’t stop and investigate.
A cleanse allows you to step away from your normal eating routines and become more mindful of how you live your life. There is a short preparation phase, the active cleanse, and very importantly, the integration phase.
“Day 5 yippee! 👏🏽 I have learnt that I haven’t been nourishing myself much. At least not with food. Yesterday was my first solitary lunch at the table. Just me and food. and i never do that – i have been eating ‘on the go’ since inception motherhood 🤦🏽♀️ i have so forgotten Nawaal and her needs (in that way) So happy to be getting reacquainted. Learning she’s quite a cool chick 🐥 🤣 Thank you Claudia for creating this space. I thought it was all about food … I was so wrong!” 🙏🏽🌸

“Hi! My blood pressure yesterday was 128/66 so perfect 😍. I’m so so happy about this!
I’m still sticking to no coffee, no alcohol and no processed food. So very glad I did this cleanse – it was really life changing.”

“It has been a very lovely week, thank you! 🌷💕 Calming to eat a simple diet and give one’s system a break from bombardment. Also helped me notice how much better I feel without dairy and wheat, that’s been so clear. Loved the massage (I added rosemary essential oil in the morning) and even the tongue cleaning! 😁 The joy of simple eating and feeling grounded – thank you for the gift” 🤗🌱🧡
